Monster Hunter: S5’s Blooming Blade Update Now Live

Monster Hunter Now Unveils Season 5: The Blossoming Blade

Get ready, hunters! Monster Hunter Now has just launched its most exciting season yet, Season 5: The Blossoming Blade. This update brings a ton of new features, monsters, and gameplay improvements that will keep both new and experienced players on their toes. Let’s explore what’s new in this major update.

Welcome to Season 5

Season 5: The Blossoming Blade kicked off on March 6, 2025, and it’s bringing a whole bunch of new challenges, monsters, and game improvements to keep things fresh and fun. Let’s dive into the details!

New Monsters and Quests

Before the season started, a new monster called Chatacabra made its debut on February 28th. Now, with Season 5, two more monsters join the fray: Glavenus and Arzuros. Glavenus loves fire and will appear in limited numbers on the field and in special hunts. Arzuros is easier to find and can be unlocked in the Monster Tracker after completing certain quests.

But that’s not all! Season 5 introduces monster unlock quests. Complete these quests to bring back monsters from past seasons and make them appear on the field again. You can also unlock them in the Monster Tracker, with a few exceptions. Some of the monsters you can bring back include Radobaan, Pink Rathian, and Deviljho.

Gameplay Enhancements

The update includes some big changes to make gameplay even better. The Sword & Shield weapon type has been improved, making it easier to target breakable parts like tails. The Perfect Rush Combo (SP) now rewards precise timing with better performance, and the Guard skill provides more damage reduction as your skill level increases.

Two new skills have been added too: Shared Sword, which boosts your attack power during group hunts, and Raw Power, which increases attack power but reduces weapon affinity.

New Features and Items

On March 17th, a new Event Exchange Hub will be introduced. You can trade materials for rewards during special events. Plus, you can expand your item storage by 250 slots with the Item Box Expansion, available as a Supply Item.

Season 5 also brings a new Season Pass, unique to this season. While you can’t raise your Season 4 tier anymore, you can still claim rewards for a limited time. To celebrate the launch, there’s a repost campaign on X that offers exclusive materials for equipment upgrades if the post reaches 5,000 reposts.

Conclusion: A New Era for Monster Hunter Now

Season 5: The Blossoming Blade brings a whole new world of excitement and challenges to Monster Hunter Now. With new monsters, quests, and gameplay improvements, there’s something for everyone. As the season continues, there will be even more features and events to keep the game fresh and engaging. So, hunters, sharpen your weapons and get ready for an unforgettable adventure!
